When Two Carry a Wound – Working with Couples in the Context of Complex Trauma

01-07-2025Current trainings

We invite you to a one-day online training during which we will explore how the core principles of couples therapy can be applied within a relational framework and integrated with NARM principles, with particular attention to couples in which one or both partners bring complex trauma into the relationship — whether consciously or not.

During the training, we will explore how complex trauma — whether conscious or not — influences the dynamics between partners. We will also look at the therapeutic challenges that arise in working with such couples, including transference dynamics and the potential entanglements and countertransference experienced by therapists. The training will also include an opportunity for case supervision, based on examples brought by participants.
